In 1985 our agency was founded by Tim and Judy Nicoud – with the simple goals of providing quality insurance products, competitive prices and outstanding service.  In the ensuring years, there have been a great many changes as our agency has grown, but our commitment to our core goals has remained unchanged.

Tim and Judy’s passion and enthusiasm for the insurance business was contagious and over the years the agency has seen tremendous growth.  In 1988 Jim Hillestad joined the agency, followed by Tim Jr. in 1997.  In 2005 Jim and Tim Jr. purchased the agency.

Nicoud insurance is a full service independent insurance agency.  This means we represent many different insurance companies.  We take the time to match each of our client’s unique needs with the best combination of insurance programs and price. But that is only the beginning; we continue the relationship by providing outstanding personalized service.  We are a family business, and we want all of our clients to feel like family.

We are licensed to sell insurance in over 30 states.  That gives us the unique advantage of being able to take care of a broad range of insurance needs including vacation homes or perhaps co-coordinating insurance for your older parents who live out of state.

Over the years, we have developed a number of different specialties in the business insurance area.  Some of these specialties include lodging/hospitality, not-for-profits, contractors and wholesale distributors.  In addition we work with many physician and attorneys providing them with Executive Life Income Plans.
